Melody’s Milestones
Happy Birthday to my daughter Melody who celebrates not only the milestone of turning 30 today, but of just having received her PhD in developmental psychology from the University of Minnesota.
She is an example of how much one must sometimes sacrifice to achieve their goals. Especially when there are major obstacles to face in order to succeed in reaching them.
I only hope that in the next 30 years she enjoys the fruits of her intensive labors, and her joy and feelings of accomplishment are worth all the energy she expended to get to this place. And that her contributions in research will move the needle forward in the autism research she has devoted herself to. And that she grows to be a more integral part of the generation that we are counting on to carry the torches of truth and compassion forward, in a world that desperately needs those flames of hope….
This is great, inspiring news.
