Imperfect Mother’s Day

No hearts and roses in this photo ~ yes I am fortunate to have had an amazing mother, and a daughter who is functioning in and even contributing to the world.  Yet the imperfections in our lives and in that photo in particular are vast and only worth mentioning to remind us  that amongst all the perfection we are asked to bring forth on this day, there are many with so much less, wanting so much more than what they have with or for their mothers or children, or lack thereof. For those blessed to have healthy thriving relationships with both, I’d suggest having compassion for those who might have considerably less. Our society puts lots of pressure on holidays and its best we are mindful of that, don’t you agree? Love to all ….
